<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The problem of organizing on library site a united interface to search all the resources library provides for its users is considered. The main conclusion is: Russian research libraries, which provide access to dozens of licensed resource collections of international and foreign content providers, should use global discovery services to fulfill their mission. </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>библиотеки</kwd><kwd>поиск документов</kwd><kwd>web scale discovery services</kwd><kwd>базы знаний</kwd><kwd>лицензионные ресурсы</kwd><kwd>открытый доступ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>libraries</kwd><kwd>document search</kwd><kwd>web scale discovery services</kwd><kwd>knowledge bases</kwd><kwd>licensed resources</kwd><kwd>open access</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Schonfeld R.C.
